Our work at Burtonfields Hall focused on creating a seamless flow that enhances the guest experience while honoring the grandeur of the estate. As the country house comes into view, the arrival is framed by a vast formal lawn and two deep, herbaceous borders that stretch toward the building's striking facade. A meandering pathway through immersive planting offers a scenic transition toward the stately entrance, ensuring the arrival is felt as much as it is seen. A large social terrace, framed by raised herbaceous beds, looks out over the Edwardian ha-ha to the beautiful grounds and wider estate beyond. By balancing these expansive social areas with secluded, characterful "pockets," we ensured the landscape offers both drama and intimacy.
